The Sonrise is about to rise

We need to learn how to operate at the limits of what we are capable of delivering.

Breaking the piggy bank is a picture of our inability to living steady

We need over the top commitment

RESET!

To stand out from the Crowd we need to:

Do different things
Do things differently
Stir emotion…spread happiness
Be consistent

We Move Forward

Today I am updating the Sonrise Church online. It has been a while since I have been able to do this because I have been very busy in my other ministries. I am updating because I want to state that Sonrise Church is reaching out to the online community and is here to take prayer requests and to offer messages on this blog. I am in the process of getting video sermons specific to Sonrise Church Online. If you need prayer please email or call 670-0831.

The Day is coming

God is perfect in all His ways...Gods ways are not our ways...God has a perfect plan and time...

Sonrise Church is making plans to re-launch in the very near future. This past week I attended a conference that re-enforced my conviction that God has a plan for Sonrise Church. One of the great things about church work in the days that we are living is that we are not confined to any pattern or system. The Church work of today has one thing in mind and one thing only. The Church should be about helping people take that next step in drawing closer to God. For some that is salvation to others that is mission work. To some it is breaking down walls for others it is learning to fast and getting a revelation. I am eenvisioning something very different in the way we approach church ministry but that is all about helping people.

If you need prayer call 210 670.0831 or email me at sonrisechurch@mail.com

Get ready with me for a new thing that is going to take place at Sonrise Church.

Sonrise Church Online 2011

It has been a while since my last post due to and overloaded schedule and the holidays. I continue to reflect on Sonrise church and what I am believing it to become. God is still exciting my heart about what He will do with this church.

As we continue here are a few thoughts that pertain to all of life.

Everything is in Gods timing
Everything has seasons
Everything that is God ordained has an eternal purpose
Everything that God is in He see's it through

I hope and pray that this will be your best year ever. I hope and pray you will not give up on the dreams God has placed in your life. Don't be afraid to move forward even if your not undersatnding all of what is happening.

Sonrise Church SA weeklly word "The Future Is Bright"

I recently attended a local convention of churches and I heard this mind blowing stat. For the Church (the body of Christ) to reach the city of San Antonio we would need about 5,700 churches to open there doors today. Last year only several hundred churches were started. The stat out of the picture is the churches that close there doors. Just as churches open they close. Sonrise Church was one of the casualties of churches that die. The difference with Sonrise Church is that it has been resurrected.

To be honest some churches die and that's OK but there are times when a church must come back to life to finish it's destiny. Sonrise Church has a destiny. Sonrise Church has a bright future.

Events are being planned even as I speak by people called to this resurrection vision. People contact me concerning the status of Sonrsie.

I want to encourage you if you are interested in being a part of the new future for Sonrise Church SA.

Sonrise Church has a history of reaching the lost, disciplining the saved and restoring those who have fallen by the wayside. The Ministry continues.

Sonrise Church SA Weekly "Our Hope Is in Christ"

OUR HOPE IS IN CHRIST
"I will pitch my tent in the land of hope."Acts 2:26

I love The Message translation of Acts 2:26 . I love the imagery because if you have ever been camping you know that where you decide to pitch your tent is a critical decision. If you pitch it on unlevel ground or on rocks it'll be a long night! You also need to make sure you've got all the tent pegs secured.

Here's the question: Where are you pitching your tent?

Too often we pitch our tent in the land of frustration or the land of disappointment or the land of pride or the land of jealousy or the land of pity or the land of anger. We make our dwelling where we have no business being! We need to pitch our tent in the land of hope. That is where we need to hammer our tent pegs. Why? Because God is Sovereign. And He has good things in store for us! How? The promises of God are the tent pegs. And prayer is the hammer!

When you book a hike on the Inca Trail you have porters who pitch your tents for you. They also make you breakfast. Pack up your tent. Pass you on the trail. And get to your campsite before you. Lunch would already be made and your tent would already be pitched when you get to the campsite they skillfully selected. That is a picture of the Sovereignty of God isn't it? Praise the God who pitches our tents!

If you need prayer email your request to sonrisechurch@mail.com or call 210 670.0831.

Don't forget our first quarterly gathering is October 17th, at 6pm. Location TBA.

Thanks to all who have been sent words of encouragement. Please continue to pray for us.

God Bless,

Weekly Message

 The Raising of Lazarus

We live in a world of flesh and blood and things don't always go the way we would like them to. My brother died of Leukemia at the age of 22. My father died of cancer. Lazarus became ill and died. Lazarus  was a personal friend of Jesus. While he was ill they called for Jesus to come to his bed side but Jesus did not make it and Lazarus died. They buried him and they were mourning him when Jesus showed up. Martha the sister of Lazarus told Jesus if you just would have been here my brother would not have died. Jesus makes this statement "this death is for the glory of God."

There are times in life when we think its over. We lay it in the tomb and we mourn. We say if only Jesus....
Even death can be conquered if that is what Jesus declares. You may think your dream is dead, you may think God cannot use you anymore, you may think that opportunity has passed...but Jesus has the last say.

what can be done:

Pray in the name of Jesus at the tomb. Let others help you remove any obstacles that are in the way. Let God remove the stone away. If God is in it call forth that which has died and let the power of God bring it back.
Remember God has the last say on anything. There are times when we must let things go but if you are feeling the prompting of the Holy Spirit in a situation don't ignore it. Even after something comes back from the dead there will be alot of work to be done. Just as Lazarus came forth bound in grave clothes and had to be loosed so we will have to allow for a time for working through issues that may arise.

Closing Remarks

If you would like to help me in bring Sonrise Church SA back to its place of ministry please contact me. Please pray for us. If anything please make plans to attend our first gathering. God bless...until later...
